Fontana Pretoria (1574) this was one of the first images I saw when I was flipping through a guidebook of Palermo in a bookshop in San Francisco, the guidebook image showed the fountain in full display with water spouting and the empty spaces filled with foliage. This was also one of the first things I saw when I arrived in Palermo on Monday, I still think it’s beautiful but wish the greenery were still there and the fountains turned on.
